Gora/McGahey Architects earned three Summit Awards at the fourth annual Lee Building Industry Association (BIA) Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event.

Gora/McGahey took home the award for the best architectural design for an industrial building for its work on Bonita Springs Utilities Operations Center, contracted by CH2M Hill. The firm also won the best architectural design renovation category for its work for Community Education Partners on Coronado High School, which was constructed by Ringland Construction. Gora/McGahey also won the best architectural design for a commercial building for its work on the Coconut Road location of FineMark National Bank & Trust, which was constructed by Owen-Ames-Kimball.

The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.

A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged the projects for originality, quality of design, challenges, timeliness of completion and safety. Charitable events were judged on creativity and coordination of a special event and its impact to the local community.
